(Remember to visit your chapter's page for information specific to your  area!)     _____________________________________________________________________ Important information for keeping healthy in flu season     _____________________________________________________________________      NYSRA Members Testify Against Paid Sick Leave in NYC The NYC Chapter was well represented at the very contentious City Council hearing on the Paid Sick Leave Bill.  Marc Murphy, Manhattan Chapter Vice President spoke at the press conference which was attended by dozens of different business groups opposing the legislation, as well as a dozen NYSRA/NYNA members - read the article about the hearing in Nations Restaurant News.  At the hearing itself Rob Bookman, NYSRA's NYC Legislative Counsel, was one of the lead business group speakers testifying against the bill.  Rob received a loud ovation from the audience which contained at least 75 business opponents.  Rob was also quoted in both the New York Post and the Daily News.
