NYSRA ANNOUNCES ITS NEXT STEP IN GOING GREEN

The New York State Restaurant Association now endorses the Green Restaurant Association’s “Green Restaurant/4.0 Standards certification. This endorsement is NYSRA’s commitment to greening New York’s restaurant industry.   For almost 20 years the GRA has been the leader of the green restaurant movement. NYSRA’s endorsement will provide our members with the GRA’s expertise, service, experience, resources and customized solutions that will ensure a seamless transition into becoming a Certified Green Restaurants®.

Whether sponsoring little league teams, feeding the hungry or providing meals to emergency workers after 9/11, New York’s restaurant industry gets involved. Sustaining our planet is no different, and the NYSRA/GRA partnership creates the opportunity for member restaurateurs to become involved and will further exemplify our industry’s commitment to becoming more environmentally responsible.

Certified Green Restaurants® will also be a step ahead of possible future regulations, therefore, allowing for better compliance and a comprehensive understanding of all related issues.
